Product Information

Size: 100g

If you are making glazes using an ingredient such as a stain, then this product will help. Certain stain colours like red, oranges, yellows and some greens are refractory in nature and can create tiny bubbles in the glaze which can look like an orange peel surface. But with a 2% addition of the stain enhancer to the dry weight of powder this will be lessened if not eliminated.

The theory is the powder will act like a seed point for the bubbles to be attract to, the bigger the bubble the more likely it will break the surface and dissipate. It is also worth noting the colours do appear brighter when used. Do not use too much or go beyond 3%, this is a raw material and is usually used as an opacifier (to make a glaze white) for glazes, so your glazes could become milky.
