If you wish to recycle clay removing excess moisture, mixing and to a certain extent taking out air pockets then a pugmill is an excellent piece of studio equipment. The G49E Gladstone pugmill offers a 50mm extrusion from an aluminium barrel. It can be taken apart for an occasional clean, having a split body fixed with bolts so you can gain access to the internals. The blades too can be adjusted along a hexagonal shaft, for different configurations in mixing and extrusion. It can also be used in a domestic studio being supplied with a 13amp plug.
The Gladstone 'E' range of pugmills has been specifically designed for the studio and classroom environment. These machines being both compact and lightweight make them easily transportable. The 49E is fitted with a hopper safety grid and thermal overload safety switch as standard.
Other sized pugmills are available, which offer larger extrusions, have more power (greater quantities of clay), de-airing models (which removes all air bubbles) and vertical ones. Call for further details on the number below.
