Mayco Stroke & Coat Glaze Sample Set: Speckled

The Speckled Sample Set includes:

• Speckled Cotton Tail
• Speckled Pink-A-Boo
• Speckled Hot Tamale
• Speckled Sunkissed
• Speckled Blue Yonder
• Speckled Green Thumb
• Speckled Moody Blue
• Speckled Tuxedo

Apply to unfired clay and bisque, both Earthenware and Stoneware, in oxidation and reduction. It matures at 981°C (Cone 06) but can be fired up to 1305°C (Cone 10). These glazes will give your work a glossy finish without the need to apply a clear glaze over the top.

Remove glaze from the pot, stir and agitate the glaze in a larger container, make sure all the material is mixed thoroughly. Whilst keeping the glaze moving, dip your brush and hold it sideways to keep the material evenly distributed. Apply using confident dabs, move the liquid around and work quickly and smoothly. 2 to 3 applications could be needed so allow to dry between coverings.
