Each set contains 8 different 40ml pots:
All of the decorating slips are suitable for use on both Earthenware and Stoneware clays as they can be fired anywhere between 1000ºc and 1300ºc.
Remove glaze from the pot, stir and agitate the glaze in a larger container, make sure all the material is mixed thoroughly. Whilst keeping the glaze moving, dip your brush and hold it sideways to keep the material evenly distributed. Apply using confident dabs, move the liquid around and work quickly and smoothly. 2 to 3 applications could be needed so allow to dry between coverings.
Useful and reasonably priced trial set for when you only need a small quantity. Good range of colours.

Not used coloured slips before Had fun experimenting then took the plunge and purchased a couple of colours to work with.
Really pleased with the sample pots and they went a long way. The pastel shades worked well with my ideas on both stoneware and earthenware. I needed to put 3 layers on for a block.of colour.
I used these slips, pouring them thickly onto a plate I'd made in t-material. AFter firing, they hadn't flaked or cracked all. I haven't tested them on earthenware and I haven't glazed it yet so don't know how the colours will work out yet.
