Hartley & Noble: Compact Russian Doll Batt System

Designed specifically for Wheels with batt pins, and made from premium 6mm MDF. This gives you everything you'll need to keep your Batt in place, and take advantage of Hartley & Noble's tile. 

Will it fit my wheel?

If your pottery wheel head has 10mm batt pin bolts located at EITHER 250mm OR 254mm centres, then this batt system will fit it. (This is a standard batt pin size and location used commonly by brands such as Rohde / Speedball / Shimpo - Nidec / Brent / Skutt / Frema, and Roderveld).

This Batt System is great for throwing cups, mugs, small plates, candle sticks, vases, and ANY pottery with a maximum size base of 200mm. You can throw light or heavy weights of clay on it (it's been tested up to 10kg weight of clay). If you want to throw larger plates, platters, or low wide rimmed bowls we recommend using a throwing batt instead.

How to use:

• Soak the Stay-Put Batt Rug in water. 
• Lay flat over the batt pins.
• Place the Master Batt on top, with the tile insert.
• Give a little tap to secure it.
• Throw!

Caring for your batt system:

• Do not leave batts to soak in water, this could cause them to warp and swell
• Wipe clean with a damp sponge to remove excess clay
• Remove from your wheel when not in use
• Do not stack together, dry & store vertically
• Do not use metal scourers or screwdrivers as this can cause damage.
