Working Notes

Mixing ratio is 100 plaster to 57 of water, so for the 2.5kg powder in the bucket you would add 1.4Ltrs of water and that would make a shape with a dimension of 280mm x 190mm x 50mm or 2660cm3

The re-useable bucket contains a cup for a simple measurement of 2 cups of plaster to 1 cups of water.

Health & Safety

Wear an FFP3 dust mask when mixing powders.

Plaster contains <1% crystalline silica which if inhaled will cause long term lung damage, therefore we recommend the wearing of a P3 Mask. Keep working areas free of dust cleaning up with a damp sponge.

In keeping with our overall general advice, we also suggest wearing full PPE mask, safety glasses, gloves in a ventilated area.

It is a sensible precaution for children not to work with raw materials.

Decent plaster

I like using Newcast plaster as it is really fine but has pretty good strength. There is a good choice of sizes and the tubs are great for storage and come in very useful after the plaster has been used. Good value
