Working Notes

This throwing body has a high addition of ball clays, making it very workable and pliable. It also has a very fine washed sand so it has good engineering strength and therefore less prone to cracking.

The bisque colour is a very pale buff, but when fired to glaze temperatures it becomes a light buff grey.

Health & Safety

As the clay contains crystalline silica avoid inhaling the dust from dried out clay. Wear a P3 mask, wash hands after use and clean up using a damp sponge. Dust off dirty clothes and aprons outside.

Great all round clay

Great clay for throwing. I am a newbie and found it very stable and easy to throw.

Also liked the colour it dried and fired to.
